What we collect

When you send the quote form we collect your name, your phone number, your suburb, the service you need and whatever job details you choose to write. Your email address is optional. When you call us we have your phone number and whatever you tell us on the call.

The site also collects standard analytics as you browse: which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, the device and browser, and the site you arrived from. That information is not attached to your name.

We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site, and we do not collect sensitive information such as health or financial records.

How we use it

• To prepare and send you a quote.
• To contact you about that quote or the job itself.
• To answer a question you have asked us.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages people find useful so the site can be improved.

We do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first, and we do not send unrelated promotional email.

Who your enquiry goes to

This is the part worth reading. This website is operated as a lead generation site. The painting work is carried out by an independent painting business we work with, so when you send an enquiry your details are passed to that business so they can quote your job and get in touch. From that point they hold your information as well, and they handle it under their own privacy practices.

We also use a small number of service providers to run the site, including a form handler that delivers your enquiry to us, website analytics, and a phone service that connects calls. Each of them only receives what they need in order to do that job.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not pass it to unrelated third parties.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses analytics to count visits and see which pages get used. This may set a cookie or use similar browser storage. It is used to understand traffic patterns, not to identify you personally.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work, and you can still call us or send the form.

Phone calls

The number shown on this site may be a tracking number that forwards to the painting business. Where it is, the number you called from, the time and the length of the call may be logged so we can tell which enquiries came from the website. We do not record the audio of your call.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to quote the work, carry it out and deal with anything that comes up afterwards, such as a question about the finish. After that they are deleted or stripped of anything that identifies you. Analytics data is aggregated and is not tied back to an individual.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@hunterpaintingco.com.au or call (02) 4900 0000 and we will sort it out. There is no charge for asking.

If your enquiry has already been passed to the painting business, you may need to contact them as well, and we will tell you who they are so you can.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, and we only keep what we actually need. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send us anything highly sensitive through the form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised, and the current version always lives at this address.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can raise a privacy complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
